Hot Off the Presses is my indie book review blog, and also apparently the place where I promote my own “work.” Check out the archive to find out if books are good or not, and watch this space for news about new releases.

You may have noticed I haven’t been updating this blog very often. No? OK, well the thing is, I’ve pivoted to a new project that I’m very excited about. It’s a sci-fi short story series that’s meant to feel like a cross between Star Trek Lower Decks and Futurama.
The small exploration vessel OSCS Resourceful and its ragtag crew are tasked with exploring the universe in the face of hostile aliens, dangerous anomalies, and budget cuts. The Starfleet analogue is the crumbling Out Space Company, an evil corporation trying and failing to colonize the galaxy. There are alien himbos, struggles with ADA compliance, absurdly thinly veiled social commentary, fruit flies ruining science experiments, all the classics. And jarring shifts in tone? You bet! I’ve got several installments lined up, and the first installment is free through September 14. You can also just ask and I’ll send you an EPUB anytime.
Set out for adventure, hijinks, and whatever the space equivalent of scurvy is. The second installment, The Way To Dusty Death, is due in October.
